Crawford Public School

Why choose us?

Placing student wellbeing at the heart of our approach

We want every student to feel safe, supported, and inspired at school. That’s why we place student wellbeing at the heart of everything we do. By nurturing strong relationships, offering tailored support, and embedding trauma informed practices alongside social and emotional learning into daily life, we empower students to grow in confidence, build resilience, and develop a genuine love for learning that stays with them long after they leave the classroom.

Fostering development within and beyond the classroom

Learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door. We nurture each child’s academic, social, and emotional development, encouraging curiosity, creativity, and confidence. Through rich classroom experiences, extracurricular opportunities, and strong community connections, our students grow into capable, compassionate learners, ready to thrive.

A learning environment where everyone feels valued and supported

We believe every child has something special to offer.

We create a welcoming and inclusive environment where every student is valued, diversity is celebrated, and everyone feels a strong sense of belonging. Here, your child will be supported to grow, learn and thrive, not just as a student, but as a confident and caring individual.

Principal's message

Warami,

My name is Richard Ford, and I have had the privilege of being the Principal of Crawford Public School for over 10 years. At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to nurturing the whole child. We recognise that each student is unique, with their own strengths, interests, and needs. Our dedicated teachers go above and beyond to ensure that every child receives personalised support and encouragement, both inside and outside the classroom.

We believe that learning extends beyond academics, and we strive to provide rich, meaningful experiences that foster growth, creativity, and confidence in all areas. Whether it’s through engaging lessons, extracurricular activities, or community events, we work together to create an environment where students can thrive as individuals and as part of a caring school family.

At Crawford Public School, we value student voice as a vital part of our community. We actively listen to our students’ ideas and feedback to help shape and improve our programs, learning environment, and school activities. By empowering students to share their perspectives, we create a supportive space where everyone feels heard and involved in making our school the best it can be.

We look forward to partnering with you to make this an inspiring and rewarding journey for your child.

Warm regards,
Richard Ford
Principal
